Hand-painted (partly with gold) Padmasambhawa Thangka. This is a silk bordered Padmasambhawa Thangka. Padmasambhava, the 'lotus born' also known as 'Guru Rinpoche', was an 8th-century Buddhist master from India. He introduced Tantric Buddhism to Tibet and is also credited with establishing the first Buddhist monastery there. Padmasambhawa is revered throughout the Himalays as the second Buddha.
